Sauna Added — Cold Plunge on the Way

We've added a sauna — and a cold plunge is on the way.

The owner, Sam, started using a cold plunge in 2023 and recently travelled to Finland to learn the secret behind some of the world's longest-living people. We know it isn't an abundance of light or heat, so there has to be something most people aren't thinking about. Wim Hof has become famous for, among other things, his cold-plunge and sauna sessions.

In Helsinki there's a sauna right on the ocean, so you can heat up and then take a cold plunge for a few minutes before heading back into the sauna.

Here, it's possible to take a dip in the west-facing ocean at beautiful Florencia Beach — a ten-minute run away — and then come back and use the sauna. We'll keep you updated when we get the cold-plunge tank set up.

For now, we hope you'll enjoy staying on a four-acre property with a house and four cabins — one of the few properties with this much space in Ucluelet.
